Position Description
The Registered Nurse delivers total individualized patient care to assigned individuals in an ambulatory setting. In addition, the Registered Nurse serves as a role model and mentor to departmental staff. Directs para-professional staff in the delivery of patient care, assists in the in-servicing of staff, educates patients and family, serves as a community resource and documents the clinical progress of each patient. Performs peripheral blood stem cell apheresis photopheresis for GVHD. Completes inventory and orders supplies related to apheresis. Maintains preventative maintenance schedule. Maintains regulatory compliance for all aspects of apheresis with all the associated agencies. Delivery of patient care is individualized relative to age/developmental, psycho-socio-cultural patient treatment needs.

Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. RN licensure in Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Minimum of four (4) years experience in Oncology or Intravenous Therapy Nursing required. Current CPR certification. Four (4) years apheresis experience preferred. OCN Certification preferred.

24 hours/nights/flex
