Assists the Director in overall management of Women's and Newborn's Services
Acts as a resource to all staff in the Women's and Newborn's Services service line.
Will supervise and provide direction to RN staff, Licensed Practical Nurse, Patient Care Technician and Unit Secretary.
Provides each ANM in the Women's and Newborn's service line with a performance evaluation on an annual basis
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
Currently licensed in the State of Florida or eligible (with confirmation from State Board) for licensure
Current healthcare provider level BLS, NRP, ACLS, and Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring
Verbal and Written English skills
Fundamental mathematics
2 years of previous Labor and Deliver experience preferred.
Specialty certification preferred, previous NICU and/or Mother Baby experience preffered
Must demonstrate knowledge of physiological, technical and theoretical principles of nursing practice.
Within 30 days of hire, employee must: must complete general and nursing orientation, pass a written medication test, demonstrate accuracy and ability in administering medications.
Within 90 days of hire, employee must: show profiency of IV therapy skills.
