St. Rose Dominican Hospital, Siena Campus, 3 East Medical Surgical Oncology unit provides services to a patient population that include adult and geriatric patients. Predominant service lines include care of the oncology patient, post operative spine surgeries, and variety of medical diagnoses. There is a strong focus on quality and evidence-based nursing practice.
The nurse manager ensures the department's effective operation. Such responsibilities encompass not only the department's internal functioning but also how it is integrated into the organization's overall operation. Nurse Managers help to create an environment or culture that enables the hospital to fulfill its mission and meet or exceed its goals. Seeks to promote and helps to maintain through interactions with others, within and outside their departments a positive,
professional team oriented and service conscious environment.

Minimum - Ten years in acute care setting, five years which were preferably in a charge/supervisory position.
Preferred - Previous experience in program development and greater than 1 year experience at Manager level or above in an acute care setting.
Minimum - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and holding a Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN)
Preferred - Master's degree in nursing, healthcare or business administration
RN = RN license from NV State Nursing Board.
CT CPRBLS = Basic Life Support CPR.
