Description: Perioperative Registered Nurse individualizes plans of care to coordinate and deliver safe and age-appropriate care to patients undergoing operative and other invasive procedures. Also functions as an advisor, resource, preceptor, and leader for other members of the patient care team. Requirements: Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college); requires knowledge of a specialized field. Bachelor's of Nursing preferred. Must be fluent with Microsoft Office Suite, basic computer skills, Cerner, Synquest, standard office equipment, medical terminology, nursing process skills based on MD Nurse Practice Act, critical thinking skills, and medical equipment. BLS certification; CNOR preferred; ACLS-excludes Acute Care and OR within 1 year; Maryland Registered Nurse License; American Heart Association CPR Certification; PALS-ED and PACU, only.
