RN II (Obstetrics) – FT nights

Our Foothill Presbyterian Hospital in Glendora seeks an RN to be responsible and accountable for a labor patient for a designated time frame, for couplet care, and provides medical screening exam for appropriate disposition of patients, as well as assess patient during labor, delivery and post partum. The RN assesses resuscitation needs of the newborn. The RN is a clinical practitioner who coordinates and implements patient care specific for the patient in labor and for the postpartum mother and newborn. Provides care for ante partum population. Ensures that quality care is provided in an efficient and safe manner consistent with the unit's standard of care. Utilizes nursing skills to determine the biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care and educational needs of the patient/family/significant other to develop, implement and revise the plan of care. Provides family centered education.
Qualified candidate must be a graduate of an approved nursing program (RN) with a current RN license in the State of California. Maintains BLS certification. NRP certification is required at date of hire for experienced RNs. Basic or Advanced Fetal Monitoring required within 90 days of hire. Advanced Fetal Monitoring preferred.
