Director of Nursing

An ambulatory development manager is looking to hire an experienced RN to become their new Director of Nursing. The Director of Nursing assesses the quality and quantity of nursing care provided in assigned areas. Candidates would be responsible, on a 24 hour basis, for the coordination of the nursing care plan with the medical plan of care, as well as the coordination of administrative activities with nursing activities.

Responsibilities of Director of Nursing include, but are not limited to:

• Assuring quality patient care
• Providing efficient departmental operations
• Maintaining profitability and productivity of the department
• Assuring marketing of services
• Overseeing staff and physician satisfaction

• 3+ years clinical experience
• 2+ years of experience as a Supervisor, Charge Nurse, or other position of management responsibility
• RN license
• Ambulatory, OR, and Bariatric experience
• Interpersonal skills sufficient to manage up to 25 personnel
• Analytical demands sufficient to calculate budget, staffing levels and to develop action plans for any departmental deficiencies
• Visual acuity &Mental stability
• Independent judgment
