Typical patient population will include observation of rule out TIAs, chest pain, rule out MIs and short stay patients may include TURPS, appendectomies, simple choli's and pacers. Patients will typically be on the unit less than 48 hours.
We are seeking RNs with BSNs who have critical thinking skills and can work independently with a minimum of support. Must have a clear understanding of throughput, case management; be highly organized and able to work independently. Must work collaboratively with the other staff on the unit to ensure patient needs are met.
Daily responsibilities will include providing quality care to patients, transport, discharge, admission and transfer. Will also be responsible for managing and inputting orders, telephones, quality measures, customer services, etc.
Requirements include minimum of two years Acute Care nursing experience Cirtical Care or Telemetry Preferred, ACLS preferred or required within 6 months of transfer, EKG interpretation, NIH Stroke Scale and IV Certification.
