The Hyperbaric RN is responsible for the delivery of nursing care to the general hyperbaric population utilizing the nursing process. Special populations include vascular, wound care, delayed radiation tissue injury, carbon monoxide poisoning, thermal burns, necrotizing infections, osteomyelitis, decompression injury and acute gas embolism. Oversees and directs the care of UAP’s and assistive personnel, maintaining final accountability for the care given to assigned patients. When the need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
I. Position Requirements:
A. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse; BLS – Healthcare provider. ACLS required within the first 6 months of hire.
B. Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
C. Experience: One-year recent critical care experience required.
