| Description The Clinical Educator for O.R. is responsible for initial staff orientation and ongoing development throughout the 3 departments of operating rooms. Assist the management in leadership position. Leads nursing research by participating in unit based projects. Provides and implements action plans that focus on providing quality nursing care to our patients and families. Maintains competency in role through active patient care. Maintains perioperative policies and procedures ensuring relevance in evidence based practice. Requires the ability to assume charge nurse role for short term assignments. Qualifications BSN and MSN required. Five years OR RN experience required. Previous education experience preferred. Demonstrates expertise in O.R. Nursing in the circulating and scrubbing roles and in meeting needs of the patients in the population and age groups treated. - Demonstrates abilities and interest in unit administration and staff education activities. - Membership in AORN and other forms of continuing education. - |
