The Hematology/Oncology Nurse Practitioner is responsible for: - Demonstrating expertise in the clinical management of these patients
- Clinical management of the hematology/oncology population
- Educational responsibilities
- Call coverage
- Coordination of specialty clinics
- Initiating/implementing research
- Work in collaboration with nursing and support services to provide family centered care
- Nurse practitioner maintains active participation in his/her own continued education, certification and professional development

- 2+ years experience as a Nurse Practitioner
- OCN certification
- Knowledge of physical assessment in oncology, procedures and patient care
- Excellent communication and patient teaching skills

- Experience in oncology patient management, research protocols and nursing education
