Registered Nurse (RN) - Home Care California

The VITAS Nurse is a member of the interdisciplinary team and is the pivotal person in identifying the physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs of the patient and family.  Responsible for initiating the appropriate intervention and support for the patient and family upon admission to VITAS and provides a continuously appropriate, comprehensive and responsive plan of care.

• Minimum of (2) years experience in acute or sub-acute care required with hospice, medical/surgical or home health experience preferred.
• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse where the VITAS program is located.
• This is a per-diem on-call RN position with preference given to candidates that can commit to 24hrs/week on eight (8) hour shifts with at least two (2) weekends per month as well.
• This per-diem position covers patient care throughout the San Francisco Bay coverage area including Southeastern Alameda, Santa Clara, San Mateo and San Francisco Counties.
• Qualified candidates will reside in one the counties mentioned above in order to respond to patient/family needs in a timely manner.
• Reliable transportation with appropriate insurance coverage.

• Completion of course study as required to acquire state licensure.
