GPS utilizes a team of dedicated Medical Directors, full and part-time Attending Physicians, Physician Assistants and Nurse Practioners to provide consistent, high-quality care to patients and residents. GPS providers serve as clinical care partners to the entire Genesis care team at Genesis skilled nursing and assisted living facilities. The GPS team orchestrates care delivery while optimizing patient and resident outcomes.

GPS is in search of a REMARKABLE Physician to serve as our Regional Medical Director in the state of Idaho!

Position Summary: The Regional Vice-President of Medical Affairs ensures that delivery of clinical services achieves the Genesis HealthCare mission and is incorporated into all service sites, including Centers, Home Care, and Community Care Coordination. This is done by working with Medical Directors and other Regional Management to oversee the implementation, utilization, and outcomes measurement of Genesis Healthcare's Clinical Programs and Tool Sets and nationally an accepted standards of care.

1.Responsible for hiring, training, management and supervision of Medical Directors, Subspecialty Medical Directors, and other contracted physician consultants.
2.Responsible fore the Medical Directors performance within their respective area.
3.Responsible for all physician services provided within the area including employed and independent physicians.
4.Implements credentialing and privileging policies within their respective area.
5.Works with the other area VP's of Medical Affairs to establish standards for medical practice and medical administrative oversight.
6.Analyzes Area outcome reports and initializes actions to improve care delivery, operational efficiencies, and resource utilization.
7.Works closely with Center Operations to ensure that health care outcomes are consistently being achieved in a cost-effective manner.
8.Responsible for review, analysis, and follow-up of significant adverse clinical events in the Area.
9.Involved in complex survey management issues as identified by Area Director of Clinical Operations.
10.Provide medical oversight of resource utilization management including pharmacy cost management.
11.Works closely with Area Management regarding business development and hospital relationships.
12.Responsible for medical oversight of all clinical initiatives with all managed care companies.
13.Participation in assimilation process for acquisitions, affiliates, management contacts, particularly regarding physician services.

This position will be split between the clinical responsibilities of Attending Physician and the administrative responsibilities of Regional Director.
