RN -Cardio Thoracic Intensive Care

A prestigious healthcare center is seeking a compassionate, driven, and skilled Registered Nurse to join their team of dedicated medical professionals. The RN will work in the Cardio and Thoracic Intensive Care Unit (CTIC) and be responsible for the care of postoperative cardiac and thoracic surgery patient. This is an excellent, hands-on opportunity on the night shift (7pm-730am) with a very well-regarded hospital.

The CTIC RN will be responsible for the care of postoperative cardiac and thoracic surgery patients and working with a multi-disciplinary staff of cardiothoracic surgeons and care specialists. The RN's responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Total patient care including medication, orders and treatments
• Closely monitoring cardiac and physical status of patient under his/her care
• Assisting in emergency nursing procedures necessary for prompt control of changes in patient’s physical condition
• Maintaining the patient’s clinical records, assisting with execution of the physician’s orders, and keeping accurate problem oriented nurse notes according to audit committee standards
• Performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation accurately and effectively

• 2+ years of experience with CTIC
• ICU or Cardiac I experience as well as open heart bypass experience
• ACLS, BLS, CVVH certifications
• RN, BSN  $

• Heart and lung transplant experience
