The Registered Nurse is responsible for: - Providing evidence-based care to Adult Cardiology patients within the group
- Performing history and physical exams
- Ordering and monitoring medications and treatments for efficacy or possible side effects
- Following up with the results of tests, communicating and consulting with collaborating physicians as needed as per collaborative practice agreement
- Communicating with collaborating physician on a regular basis via E-mail and telephone
- Working with outside medical specialists to ensure coordinated care
- Consulting with patients and families regarding goals of care
- Managing/supervising patients undergoing cardiovascular stress testing
- Serving as a leader, mentor, preceptor, and colleague to the nursing community within the organization
