A prestigious medical center is currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join their Labor & Delivery Unit. The L&D RN is responsible for caring for women who are in labor, having complications during their pregnancy or have recently delivered. | |

The Labor & Deliver RN is responsible for: - Providing care to women and their newborns during the antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and neonatal stages
- Assessing mothers and babies to develop individualized plans
- Administering medications and monitoring fetal heart rates
- Assisting in inducing labor
- Working with doctors to design an infant delivery plan and perform other similar tasks
- Alerting the attending physicians of complications arise
- Assisting the physicians when epidurals or pain medications are administered, episiotomies are performed, or when the patient requires preparation for a caesarian delivery
- Recognizing complications and acting quickly in order to stabilize the situation and communicating with the patient, the patient's family, and the appropriate physicians and specialists in order to ensure a safe and healthy delivery
- Starting IVs

- 2+ years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
- Scrub and Circulate on C/Sections experience
- NRP/BLS
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
