Med/Surg Educator

A full service community hospital is looking for a Med/Surg Educator.  In this position, you will assist with the educational needs assessment, coordination and implementation of unit based clinical educational programs for primary clinicians in assigned clinical areas.

The Clinical Educator:

• Assists with educational needs assessment, coordination and implementation of unit based clinical educational programs for primary clinicians in assigned clinical areas
• Serves as a consultant / mentor to staff related to education, clinical practice and professional development
• Collaborates with Nurse Managers to identify educational and practice gaps to be addressed. Participates in performance improvement activities
• Formulates and establishes policies and procedures based on best practices

• RN/BSN
• Solid med/surg experience
• Ability to educate and mentor staff
• Strong communication skills $
