The Licensed Practice Nurse: - Assists physicians and nurse with patient care, EMR chart management and patient flow
- Gathers and updates patient history
- Obtains vital statistics including blood pressure and weight; completes lab work requisitions, venipuncture, specimen collection and preparation; administers injections
- Provides instructions and pertinent educational materials to patients
- Ensures exam rooms are clean and ready for next patient
- Changes exam table paper; wipes and disinfects tables
- Sets up instruments and equipment
- Maintains patient flow
- Chaperones during physical examination if required or requested
| |
- LPN program certificate
- 2+ years of experience as a LPN in a MedSurg unit or in physician’s private office
- Exposure to endocrinology, internal medicine, pediatrics and or OBGYN practices
- Strong communication skills $
