The Labor and Delivery RN: - Manages and coordinates the care of patients in a defined care delivery model, utilizing the nursing process, which includes assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation
- Supervises and/or provides all nursing care provided to an assigned patient population
- Collaborates and communicates effectively with the interdisciplinary team
- Provides nursing support to the laboring patients, utilizing pharmacological and non-pharmacological pain management
- Assists the anesthesiologist with insertion of an epidural and provides care to the patient with regional anesthesia

- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- 1-2 years Med/Surg experience, or new graduate with completion of senior practicum in L&D, Mother/Baby unit or nursery
- Current State Licensure as a Registered Nurse
- BLS
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification or completion within 6 months of date of hire

- National Certification Corporation (NCC) or American Nurses Credentialing Center certification
