Emergency Room RN

A hospital in Queens, NY is looking for an experienced RN to join their Emergency Room staff. The nursing professional in this position will be responsible for managing the care of adult and or pediatric patients experiencing life-threatening problems requiring complex assessment, high intensity therapies and interventions.

The Emergency Room RN is responsible for:

• Making quick and accurate assessments about incoming patients, including both physical and mental health conditions
• Identifying the medical problem
• Documenting medical history
• Checking for any allergies and current medications
• Obtaining height, weight, body temperature, heart rate and blood pressure
• Moving patients
• Taking blood samples
• Cleaning and bandaging wounds
• Administering medications
• Maintaining proper supplies of medical equipment

• 2+ years of ER experience
• 2+ years of Trauma experience
• ACLS
• BLS
• RN or Walkthrough
• NYC HHC Attestation Form
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
