Primary Care APRNs

A major teaching hospital is looking to expand their team by adding Primary Care APRNs. With a few openings to be filled, the hospital is seeking experienced and self-motivated recruits who are eager to learn in this hands-on environment and expand their career in healthcare.

Major Teaching Hospital 

Responsibilities of the Primary Care APRN include, but are not limited to:

• Provides holistic, quality and cost-effective advanced practice care for patients, families, and others in a target population
• Participates in the medical management of patients to achieve or maintain optimal health status, manage disease and reduce risk of illness
• Engages in independent decision-making regarding the health care of individuals, families and groups across the lifespan and across the health care continuum
• Reports to Nursing Director, Medical Director or Nurse Manager, or a matrix which may include Nurse Manager, Nursing Director, Medical Director, or some combination of those

• 1+ year prior relevant experience
• APRN license in CT
• Experience as a midlevel provider within primary care, family practice, internal medicine, and/or urgent care
• Ambulatory and internal medicine experience
