1. Orients to physician practice/patient population, including attending and participating in multidisciplinary rounds. 2. Develops collaborative practice agreement in conjunction with supervising physician. 3. Identifies and develops protocols and or guidelines necessary for practice in conjunction with supervising physician. 4. Participates in the orientation and education of staff and students. 5. Maintains clinical competencies by assuming responsibilities for acquiring knowledge and experiences to meet learning needs with guidance. 6. Participates in continuing medical education to include specialty and sub-specialty meetings, clubs, boards and conferences. 7. Assists in the collection of data for research projects.
Minimum Qualifications
Two (2) years of Registered Nurse (RN) experience in related area is required. One (1) year of advanced practice experience is preferred. Current Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the State of Texas is required. Current Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) status in Texas is required. Current limited prescriptive authority as approved by Texas Board of Nurse Examiners pending.
Must have proof of documentation granted by a national certification body recognized by the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners as an Advanced Practice Nurse unless you became an APN prior to 1997 and you've completed an accredited nursing program.
Applicant must complete a Medical Staff application and participate in the Medical Staff Credentialing Process as outlined through the SETON Medical Staff Bylaws. Seton policy may require associates in this job to obtain their DEA and DPS license as part of the Medical Staff application process.

Must have specialty certification in Psych.
