Job Description

 

Mercy Health’s newest 24/7 freestanding Emergency Department located in the Rookwood area of Cincinnati is currently seeking a Nursing Supervisor. The new Emergency Department is the centerpiece of Mercy Health – Rookwood Medical Center, and is set to open in the third quarter of 2013. This brand-new 24,000-square-foot facility will feature state-of-the-art medical technology and equipment. Within the first few months, the Emergency Department will accommodate 12 beds—two trauma bays and 10 rooms—and as we grow, we will have space to accommodate three additional rooms based on community need and volume. 

 

This key position will supervisor and coordinate the daily activities of the nursing staff and be responsible for on-call rotation.  Additional duties include budget preparation/monitoring, development of educational programs, supply acquisition and the application of various patient care delivery systems.

 

Job Requirements

 

. Current Ohio RN licensure

. MSN (or BSN within 6 months of completion of MSN)

. 3+ years staff nurse experience with 2 years as shift lead

. BLS

. TNCC, ENPC or PALS preferred

. Knowledge of theories, practices and methodologies related to staffing workflow

. Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
