Responsibilities
1.  Implements and documents the Nursing Process for population specific patient care delivery to include the complex patient/family.  May function as Provider or RN-M based upon completion of competencies.
2.  Participates in performance improvement/research activities.  Participates in activities that promote improvement of patient care/patient satisfaction.  Expands/shares knowledge of nursing practice.
3.  Functions as an active team member and demonstrates leadership qualities.  Has met competencies for RN Provider and when appropriate has met competencies for RN-M within PCT CareModel.
4.  Demonstrates and enhances professional growth and development, maintains and enhances clinical competency.  Remains current in nursing practices.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's in Nursing is preferred.

RN II: Internal applicants:  A minimum of (9) months of nursing experience is required. External applicants:  One (1) year of nursing experience is required. Temporary or Current Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the state of Texas is required -OR- current home state license is required for multi-state license recognition through the Nurse Licensure Compact.

RN III:  Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Nurse is required.  Temporary or Current Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the state of Texas is required -OR- current home state license is required for multistate license recognition through the Nurse Licensure Compact.

RN IV:  Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Nurse is required.  Temporary or Current Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the state of Texas is required -OR- current home state license is required for multistate license recognition through the Nurse Licensure Compact.
Skills
Validation of achievement of appropriate RN Clinical Ladder performance competencies and requirements of the position is required. Annually acquires contact hours of education, as specified by RN level.
