TheFamilyBirthCenterat Mercy Anderson is a 24-bed facility, featuring combined labor & delivery, recovery and mother/baby suites.  Our Level II Special Care Nursery, 24-hour houseOBcoverage, and onsite maternal/fetal medicine consultation services are designed for patient-centered care during labor, delivery, and post-partum care.  The Center’s 110 staff members are committed to excellence every day, embodying the Mercy mission by advocating for their patients with respect and compassion. 

 

 

Job Description

 

The Nurse Manager of theFamilyBirthingCenteris a key position and requires an experienced Nurse Manager to assume 24-hour responsibility for planning, organizing, directing and managing resources. Duties include fiscal responsibility, management of staff, manpower efficiency, monitoring of services and maintaining positive working relationships with staff and other hospital/network departments and managers.

 

Job Requirements

 

  • Current RN Licensure, State ofOhio
  • BSN degree from an accredited school of nursing, with 3+ years of experience
  • 2 years of management experience within an acute care or similar setting
  • CurrentBLSand NRP certifications
  • Current knowledge of EMTALA regulations
  • Current knowledge of ODH rules & regulations
  • Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification required within 2 years of hire
  • Presence available on a 24-hr. basis
  • Excellent interpersonal, computer and problem resolution skills
