Position Description RN Tier 2 Pool
Provides professional nursing care according to the nursing process. Assesses patient's condition, diagnoses nursing problems, develops plan of care and evaluates patient response to care and treatments. Administers medications and therapeutic regimens. Provides patient/family education. Delegates and directs care provided by LPNs and nursing assistants.
Tier 2 Pool Requirements: Employee must schedule and work a minimum of thirty-two (32) hours per four (4) week schedule, twenty four (24) of which are on weekend shifts. Tier 2 participants must be scheduled and work on one major and one minor holiday each year. The major holidays are Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day. The minor holidays are Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day. Holiday scheduling is based on hospital scheduling needs. Each year, the holidays will be rotated.
Education and Experience
Minimum two years current acute care experience in specialty required.
Graduate of accredited School of Professional Nursing
Licensure/Certificate Registration: Current licensure in Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
BLS/ACLS required, Arrhythmia Certification Required
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required: Strong oral and written communications. Strong Interpersonal skills. Strong problem solving skills.
