ICU EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.
Accountable for promoting high levels of employee, patient and physician satisfaction. Promotes optimal patient outcomes, while maintaining appropriate productivity standards. Is responsible for ensuring adequate staffing for the shift, including assisting with back-up staffing as needed. Demonstrates advanced knowledge and skills in the care of patients of designated units. Provides patient care utilizing the nursing process - assessment, care planning, implementation, and reassessment - for identified patient populations per the Colorado Nurse Practice Act. Documents patient care administered. Coordinates interdisciplinary communication and care. The delivery of care is based on the age, physical, psychological, cultural, safety, and learning needs of the individual patient. Demonstrates basic and unit specific competencies. Supervises RNs, LPNs, MST, CNAs, US. Assists with completion of annual performance evaluations; provides coaching and counseling for employees as appropriate, in consultation with unit Director. Coordintates unit scheduling and monitors call-ins.
License/Certifications:
RN
BLS
ACLS (within 6 months of hire)
Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred
Experience:
3-5 Years Critical Care RN experience
Supervisory/Charge experience preferred
