I. Position Summary: Exemplifies professional nursing practice through expert clinical practice, strong leadership skills, and management activities. The Clinical Coordinator provides clinical management to the department through coordination of patient care activities and procedures and the flow of Radiology patients between various units, including IR and all Radiology Departments. Manages PLUS, KRONOS, scheduling and conducts PMI’S with staff. As a leader, is expected to attend all leads meetings and take mandatory leadership classes that are offered at Rose University Delegates duties to staff members within their scope of practice, and acts as a resource for clinical or communication issues to other staff. Functions in the chain of command, continuing the chain upward when a situation cannot be resolved at the CC level. Has input and involvement with staff performance appraisals, staff disciplinary measures, and unit policy and procedure development. The Clinical Coordinator functions as a leader, clinical resource, negotiator, coach, and mentor while overseeing the department.

II.   Position Requirements:

A.   Licensure/Certification/Registration:

Current Colorado Registered Nurse licensure

B. Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing- BSN preferred.

BLS, PALS, ACLS

C. Experience: Two – four years clinical experience. One to three years experience in charge/supervisory role desirable.

D. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Provides safe and appropriate patient care within the standards of nursing practice at Rose Medical Center. Displays appropriate judgement and problem solving skills. Communicates positively and professionally with all internal and external customers. Demonstrates known leadership skills (as demonstrated in the charge nurse role or similar role), excellent interpersonal skills, ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities, and a positive attitude. Leads by example, resolves conflict and counsels staff as necessary.

III. Degree of Supervision Required: Functions effectively without direct supervision. Consults with Radiology Director or Medical Director of Radiology/IR as appropriate.
