The Registered Nurse (RN), is a competent nurse who has been practicing a minimum of 2 years in the same clinical setting. In this role, the RN is able to provide clinically appropriate care following established protocols for an assigned group of patients. The The RN is able to form a plan of care using the nursing process which helps to increase efficiency and organization.
Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. BS in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.
Licensure: Current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in Connecticut.
Certification: BLS certification required. National certification in area of specialty preferred.
Skills: Familiarity with computer-based applications (E-MAR, clinical documentation), e-mail, and standard applications such as Microsoft Office. Demonstrated teamwork and communication (written and verbal) skills; demonstrated problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
