Nurse Practitioner, Cardiology Acute Heart Failure Program

University of Maryland Medical Center is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) with a desire to join our premier multidisciplinary team in our Cardiology Program, with emphasis on the Acute Heart Failure patient. The NP provides leadership in the management of patients presenting with complex cardiac diagnoses. Our Cardiology Program serves as a referral center for patients in Maryland and beyond.

The NP performs examination, evaluation, assessment and interpretation of clinical data to provide care to patients presenting with a variety of cardiovascular diseases and complaints. Professional practice is in conjunction with other NPs, RNs, physicians and administrative support staff. The position offers a full time, four - 10 hour shift schedule, with potential for shift rotation.

The successful candidate will have completed a Nurse Practitioner program at the Masters level, with Acute Care NP certification required. Maryland licensure is necessary. At least two years of professional nursing experience is required. Newly graduated Nurse Practitioners with solid cardiac clinical experience are encouraged to apply.
