Centra is seeking a Nurse Manager for Rehabilitative Nursing. This candidate needs to be a strong leader that has a vision for rehabilitative nursing and can drive changes for this 20 bed unit.
The Nurse Manager is responsible for the 24-hour management of the nursing component of the Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF). The Nurse Manager plans, organizes, schedules, monitors, and leads the work of individuals and groups to attain desired results; selects and develops staff, and ensures staff productivity; facilitates Centras strategic plan; maintains quality patient care; and functions within budgetary guidelines. The Nurse Manager works closely as a collaborative member of the Rehabilitation Leadership Team. This nurse manager will mentor and educate staff. She/He will be able to function as a staff rehab nurse if needed. This manager will be knowledgeable in all aspects of the rehabilitation process including how rehab nursing integrates with the therapy disciplines and overall the profession of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. The Nurse Manager will work closely with the Physiatrist Team to ensure the highest functional outcomes for the patients. This IRF Nurse Manager will be very familiar with the Functional Independence measure (FIM) and will champion its use to promote functional nursing processes. She/He will promote/market the field of Rehabilitation and network with other facilities. The Nurse Manager integrates all the tenets of the Professional Practice Model into the operations of the IRF. The Nurse Managers practice reflects the American Nurses Associations Code of Ethics for Nurses and the Nurse Practice Act of Virginia.
EDUCATION

| Required: | Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Bachelors or Masters Degree in Nursing. |

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

| Required: | Supervisor Experience in Rehabilitation Nursing Minimum of 3 years Rehab Nursing Experience. |

| Preferred: | Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) |
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
Hold a current, active license as a registered nurse in Virginia or hold a current multistate licensure privilege as a registered nurse.
