Must be a licensed RN in the state of TX.
CPR required.
BSN required, MSN preferred.
1. Develops a comprehensive plan of training for Medical-Surgical division. Plan will require research, data collection, organization, recommendation, implementation and evaluations to promote and maintain a high standard of performance by employees.
2. Assist in the reviewing preceptor program to enhance the learning environment of staff and students. Maintains accurate data on performance of Medical-Surgical staff by documenting performance and communicating expectations to hospital staff.
3. Adheres to and implements all regulatory requirements to maintain licensure and accreditation of staff and hospital (OSHA, TJC, HIPPA, etc.). Demonstrates and assures competence as appropriate to the ages of the patients served per TJC guidelines.
4. Serve as a resource person for the Medical-Surgical division to staff, management, community members, students within the health profession and other hospitals, participate in community activities related to healthcare.
