In 2013, we will open the doors to our new Mercy Health - West Hospital, and will usher in a new era of healthcare for greater Cincinnati’s west side. Our state-of-the-art hospital, will serve as the hub for Mercy’s comprehensive network of care that includes an emergency medical center, primary care and specialty physicians, senior living communities and outpatient centers. The facility will feature all-private patient rooms, a comprehensive heart care/cardiac surgery program, and a family-oriented birth center, as well as comprehensive programs for cancer, women’s health and orthopedics.
Mercy Health Hospital West is being constructed just off I-74 on North Bend Road in Green Township, providing easy access for 24/7 emergency care. The location is a beautiful 60-acre site that, harmonizing with the surrounding environment, will become a campus of abundant green space, accented by a water garden and walking/biking trails.
Job Description
In this newly created RN leadership role, the Director of Cardiac Services has 24-hour responsibility for the operation of patient care departments and other assigned services at Mercy Health - West Hospital. The Director collaborates across the Mercy Health network to ensure standardization of cardiac care in accordance with accreditation and regulatory requirements. Key areas of focus include overall administrative responsibility for fiscal management, planning, business development, program evaluation, performance improvement and service excellence.
Job Requirements
- MSN degree
- Extensive cardiac nursing experience
- RN licensure in the State of Ohio
- Five years of progressive management experience
- Service line development/start-up experience strongly preferred
- Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills and effective communication skills
