Position Summary: During appropriate shift is authorized and designated by the DON to assume overall responsibility for clinical nursing practice and resident care according to each unit's established plan. Provides for continuity in decision making and consistency in nursing practice by assuring that nursing and hospital policies, procedures, standards and department objectives are met. Acts as a resource and support person for the nursing staff. Represents Administration during any events occurring on shift. Supports and Promotes Resident strengths and abilities, capacity for social contribution, unique values, preferences, living habits and autonomy of choice. Embraces a vision of aging that is meaningful and relationship based. Recruitment Requirements: RN, BSN preferred. Twoyears of RN experience required. Previous supervisory experience in a LTC setting preferred.
