Job Summary:
The Centra Southside Farmville Medical Clinic (3rd Street Clinic) is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or a Physician Assistant that is trained in Family Medicine. The NP/PA must be able to manage patient care by appropriately diagnosing and developing a plan of care relevant to the patient's diagnosis and provide follow-up care management. This NP/PA will work under the supervision of a physician to assist in ordering labs, imaging, and referrals. The NP/PA will perform physicals (work related physicals, sports physicals, workers compensation exams, and back to school physicals) and DOT exams. Must have excellent patient safety and customer service skills.
EDUCATION
Required:
Graduate of an accredited School of Registered Nursing with current licensure by the Virginia State Board of Nursing, and MS in Nursing or a graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
Nationally recognized certification in field of specialization required.
Current licensure by the Virginia State Board of Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive authority or licensed as a Physician Assistant.
Maintains BLS & ACLS certifications.
Must hold a current and active license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. Prefer for candidates to have experience in Family Practice medicine.
