The Hootsuite report also recommends creating a Facebook group that specifically targets a core audience, such as job seekers. The group page would attract nurses seeking employment while giving them a platform for discussion.<\/p>\n<p>The idea is to let the audience start the conversation while you lightly monitor engagement \u2014 like answering questions as needed. Whether an opened or closed group, make sure to clearly identify the purpose of the group.<\/p>\n<h3>3 \u2014 Target by job title<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/advertise.nurse.com\/how\/#social-media\">Using digital tools like social media <\/a>platforms is an \u201cuntapped, human resources recruiting tool,\u201d said Tyler Ross, a former client executive at Relias.<\/p>\n<p>Savvy recruiters like you who use Facebook for nurse social media recruiting probably realize Facebook changed some of the rules around how ads can be used to reach the target audience.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWith Facebook ads, you can no longer advertise by job title,\u201d Ross said. \u201cYou can only base advertising on their interests, pages they like or groups they belong to.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>However, by using Nurse.com, he said recruiters can avoid that entire headache and <a href=\"http:\/\/advertise.nurse.com\/blog\/how-to-use-social-media-to-reach-job-applicants\/\">take a more targeted approach<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Since we have thousands of nurses\u2019 email addresses, Ross said recruiting campaigns are more precise.\u00a0 The email information allows us to advertise directly to nurses who use Facebook, he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBecause we have their email addresses, we know we have a guaranteed pathway to advertise to nurses,\u201d Ross said. \u201cNot only can we target by job title, with Nurse.com we have a lot of different specialties of nurses, so we can break it down even further \u2014 like targeting critical care nurses.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>4 \u2014 Track social media recruiting results<\/h3>\n<p>When using digital recruiting tools, Ross said it\u2019s important to track results. Google Analytics allows healthcare facilities to monitor web traffic. He suggests tracking the cost per click, cost per applicant and cost per hire for each advertising channel being used.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt may take some more set up in your applicant tracking steps, but those steps are worth taking if you want to take a digital recruiting approach and know the results,\u201d Ross said.<\/p>\n<h3>5 \u2014 Timing the posts matters<\/h3>\n<p>The only good thing about the Monday blues \u2014 they don\u2019t apply to job postings on social platforms. In fact, it helps drive engagement.<\/p>\n<p>According to a <a href=\"https:\/\/business.linkedin.com\/talent-solutions\/blog\/trends-and-research\/2016\/the-best-times-to-post-a-job-on-linkedin\">LinkedIn<\/a> report by Collin Hickey, jobs posted on Mondays perform the best, followed by Tuesday and Wednesday. The views and applications decline as the week continues, according to audience performance on LinkedIn.<\/p>\n<p>Other recruiting <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hr-playbook.com\/articles\/10-social-media-recruitment-tips-that-work\">experts<\/a> suggest posting jobs just before lunch or after work \u2014 which is when employed folks typically have more time to read them.<\/p>\n<h3>6 \u2014 Employees help expand reach<\/h3>\n<p>Everyone has a friend of a friend. And some friends know just who\u2019s hiring. Who you know can play a role in the social media recruiting game.<\/p>\n<p>Ask employees to share <a href=\"http:\/\/advertise.nurse.com\/how\/#social-media\">job postings on their social networks<\/a> like LinkedIn and Facebook.
