Registered Nurse - RN - Home Health

              

   RN Home Health – Springfield, MA and surrounding areas

 

Requirements to Apply:  

• Licenses: MA RN License. (Unencumbered) 

• Certifications: CPR/BLS

• Education/Degrees: ADN, BSN Preferred

• Experience: 

• New grad nurses welcome! (Prefer one (1) year as an RN, preferably in either home or community health.).

• Must be willing to visit patients at home, approx. 35 visits/week.

• 6+ months' experience working with the frail or elderly population through internship or other work.                          

• Bilingual Spanish or other language preferred.

• Valid MA driver license and reliable transportation. 

 

Under the supervision and direction of the Director, the RN - Home Health will visit local patients at home, to provide quality in-home nursing care.

Schedule: Standard Monday – Friday schedule, with occasional weekends if required. 

Times: 8 am to 5 pm 

  

Payrate: $70,000. to $85,000/year

 

 

Responsibilities: 

 

• Conduct Assessments: Obtain a medical history, particularly as it relates to the present condition, from the client and/or family member(s).
• Conduct a physical examination of the client, including vital signs, physical assessment, mental status, appetite and type of diet, etc. 
• Nursing services, treatments and preventative procedures requiring substantial specialized drill and ordered by the physician. 
• Initiate preventative and rehabilitative nursing procedures as appropriate for the client’s care and safety.
• Observe signs and symptoms and reporting to the physician reactions to treatments, including drugs, and changes in the clients physical or emotional condition. 
• Teach, supervise, and counsel the client and caregivers regarding the nursing care needs and other related problems of the clients at home.
• Is responsible for the care given by the home health aide.
