Position Description
The Lactation Consultant will be responsible for maintaining high standards in advanced lactation practice while serving as a resource person for both patients and health care providers. Responsibilities also include assisting in patient/staff education and support in all aspects of lactation management, comprehensive assessment of patient and family needs, identification of outcomes based on the needs assessment and for establishment of a plan of care.Position Requirements
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Two(2) years experience in nursing, with minimum of one (1) year in lactation. National Certification in Specialty (IBCLC). Advanced problem-solving skills. Certified in cardio-pulmonary (CPR).
License/Certification Requirements: Yes
Work Hours: 8a-4:30p
Weekend Requirements: Yes
