They have high-level critical thinking skills, vast clinical knowledge, and are able to stay calm under pressure
About this unit:
- 36 Bed Unit, with 4:1 Nurse/Patient Ratio for Nights, with average stay of 2 to 7 days
- Working in a fast-paced, passionate, team-oriented environment, surrounded by critical thinkers.
- Variety of patients including Trauma, Stroke, Post Cath Lab Stint or Stemi, Drips, and more.
- Under the general direction of the Director, Manager or Nurse Manager, Registered Nurse (RN) coordinates and provides patient care and assumes individual responsibility and accountability for the provision of nursing care.
- Registered Nurse (RN) provides nursing care is in accordance with hospital policies and procedures, applicable state Nursing Practice Acts, ANA Standards of Practice and the generic and unit structure standards
- Graduation from a school of nursing with either a Diploma, ADN or BSN
- Must hold a current RN license from the Missouri State Board of Nursing
- BLS certification upon hire
- ACLS certification with 6 months – 1 year.
