Registered Nurse (RN) Step Down Unit - Full Time DaysSchedule: 36 hours per week, 7a-7p, rotating weekends and holidays

  What Will You Be Doing?  

Responsible for clinical management of the patient.

Participates and understands Quality Management activities.

Documents nursing care utilizing the appropriate tools.

Maintains competencies in clinical areas and is responsible for professional growth and development.

Complies with professional, regulatory, governmental and departmental standards.

Participates in other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Diploma or Associates Degree from a professional nursing program (required)

BSN or current enrollment in a BSN program at an accredited school of Nursing (preferred)  

Licensed in the State of Virginia as a Registered Nurse or compact state nursing licensure (required)

American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider (required)

ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.

Previous EKG interpretation preferred

Must pass a basic heart rhythm test as well as BKAT examination.

Previous experience in an acute care setting (preferred)
