Performs performance reviews of department nursing staff, or delegates said tasks to other qualified individuals.
Responsible for interviewing and hiring in conjunction with the department director
Interacts with and contributes to the professional development of peers and others practicing in a Shared Governance model of nursing practice.
Assists Department Director in directing nursing units and programs.
Conducts Nurse Leader Rounding daily, or delegates as needed to maintain >90 NLR compliance.

QualificationsEducation: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Licensure/Certifications: Must hold current license from the Kentucky Board of Nursing. BLS required upon hire. ACLS and NRP required within 6 months post-hire. Stable certification preferred. Department certification(s)/ education as required for position. Other certifications as suggested per Professional Association within 2 years.
Experience: A minimum of three years clinical experience. Previous management experience preferred.
