As a Charge Nurse, you would play a very important role in overseeing patient care by leading others.
What You Will Do
You will lead and direct those nurses who have the privilege of providing constant, direct attention to open-heart and transplant surgical patients entrusted to your care. You will coordinate unit staffing needs and provide leadership while ensuring implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care on the night shift.
Assigns, directs, educates and monitors nursing and support staff during assigned shifts. Contributes to or performs performance evaluations of staff.
Assesses daily patient care needs and develops and distributes patient care assignments, ensuring that population appropriate patient care is given.
Evaluates the effectiveness of patient care and identifies any issues that affect desired patient outcomes.
Responds to complaints about patient care and manages through established channels.
May provide input for hiring, training, directing, development and evaluating of staff.
Full-Time, Night Shift Hours: 1830 - 0700
What You Will Need
BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing.
Licensed Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.
1 year of experience required.
