The Licensed Practical Nurse - LPN is responsible for supervising nursing personnel to deliver nursing care and within scope of practice coordinates care delivery, which will ensure that patient s needs are met in accordance with professional standards of practice through physician orders, center policies and procedures, and federal, state and local guidelines. This LPN position is a staff position that has direct care responsibilities as well as supervisor responsibility for nursing assistants. Job Specific Details: Ensuring the delivery of high quality resident services that meet the health and daily living service needs and desires of Lely Palms residents and their families. This position requires tact, sensitivity, and professionalism due to constant interaction with residents and families to guarantee their satisfaction. As the Wellness Director, you are a member of the Wellness Services Team and the coordinator of this team.

Know and respect resident rights, ensures protected health information is kept confidential, reports complaints made by residents to supervisor, reports all allegations of resident abuse, neglect and/or misappropriation of resident property.

Maintain ongoing communication and coordinating care with advisory physicians, pharmacies, labs, home health and other service providers to ensure resident needs are met. Managing medication system, ensuring accurate resident medication administration and ordering medications as needed. Assuring competency of staff for delegated functions. Maintain and oversee accurate maintenance of clinical resident records. Monitoring and ensuring compliance of infection control and universal precautions.
