Position Description
Responsible for reviewing, monitoring, and reporting the process of the Workers Compensation program to effectively return employees to the workforce as soon as possible. Accountable for compliance with Georgia State Workers Compensation and The Occupational Safety & Health Administration laws. Reviews all Return to Work notices and advises Managers accordingly based on release and/or restrictions. Reviews the request to enter an employee into the Light Duty Programs as applicable and works with department leadership teams on addressing accommodations where possible. Reviews all requests for Reasonable Accommodation/ADA and makes recommendations to resolve the request. Accountable for the Employee Health department s role in the administration and compliance with the Federal Medical Leave Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) processes.
Position Requirements
REQUIRED: 1. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing. 2. Three (3) years experience in nursing. 3. Must be certified in skills applicable to Employee Health within designated time frame. 4. Proven leadership/supervisory skills needed to plan, direct, and coordinate activities and programs involving a wide range of departments. PREFERRED: 1. National certification. 2. Experience in Occupational or Public Health Nursing. 3. Emergency Department experience.
