The Manager - Admissions functions as the clinical leader for the Care Navigation Center and is responsible for the day-to-day triage and management of admission activities and assuring timely admissions of newly referred /re-referred patients.
The Manager - Admissions manages and provides guidance and assistance to all Admissions RNs. In addition, the Manager - Admissions provides the Care Navigation Center team members support regarding the clinical needs of the referred patients; including clinical guidance regarding complex referrals as needed. As part of the Care Navigation Center, this position will need to be able to perform all the duties and functions of a Patient Navigator as needed to ensure smooth and efficient Care Navigation Center operations. The Manager - Admissions assure quality care and compliance with state and federal regulations, CHAP accreditation standards, and the organization’s policies and procedures.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
The Manager - Admissions will be responsible for supervising applicable Patient Navigators and Admissions Nurses and in the absence of the Executive Director, the Care Navigation Center Team Leads.

Experience Requirements:
The Manager - Admissions have a minimum of 5 years direct nursing experience, to include in medical/surgical, oncology, or home health. Minimum 1 year should be with hospice in home based or inpatient setting, or referral-based call center experience is required. Management experience is also preferred.

Educaution Requirements:
The Manager - Admissions must have at least a RN from an accredited Nursing Program. A BSN is preferred.

Required Certificates and/or Licenses:
The Manager - Admissions must have RN licensure from the District of Columbia, State of Maryland, and/or the Commonwealth of Virginia.
