What we need:

We re currently seeking full-time experienced Registered Nurses to join our team at Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, Texas; The #1 one city in the nation for Nursing opportunities and advancement! Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital is a 636-bed specialty care teaching hospital and the only Level 1 Trauma Center between Dallas and Austin.

Why Orthopedics/ENT/Plastics?

This is a 35-bed monitored nursing unit that provides the opportunity to work with a wide variety of patients ranging from adults to Geriatrics. The conditions that are within the scope of service include the following but are not limited to:
  • Traumatic Complex Fractures
  • Elective Joint Replacements Rapid Recovery Program
  • Sports Injuries
  • Spinal Deformities
  • Hip Fractures
  • Compression Fractures
  • Pelvic Fractures
  • Skeletal Malformations and Abnormalities
  • Amputations and Prosthesis
  • Medical Surgical patients including those requiring Telemetry
  • Elective Plastic surgery
  • Tracheotomy Care and (Maintenance and support)-a Registered Nurse on this floor will develop top notch skills with Trach care compared to anywhere else in the hospital.

Requirements of the Ideal Candidate:
  • Graduate of RN School of Nursing
  • ADN required; BSN preferred
  • Must be licensed to practice professional nursing by the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required.
  • Functions competently and effectively under pressure and emergency situations

Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) required

RN license required

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Note: If you have less than 6 months of experience, we recommend that you apply to our nursing internship program. Internships are available for new graduates and experienced nurses in a variety of specialties. New classes begin in January, June and September.
