D-H has an advanced neurosurgery practice for both the adult and pediatric population. Care is provided to patients with brain and spine tumors, neurovascular disease, spine disorders, epilepsy, movement disorders, as well as traumatic brain and spine injuries. The practice is supported in the perioperative setting by a specialty nursing team, made up of RNs and CSTs who cover the scheduled surgical cases as well as the emergent cases during the off shift hours. The on-call requirement for team members is typically one night a week and one weekend a month. The team is looking for an RN with perioperative experience to join them. The ideal candidate will be a team player who is eager to learn, attentive to details, and who is an effective communicator. He or she will be expected to circulate and scrub all neurosurgery cases in D-Hs main operating room as well as in its state of the art advanced imaging surgical suite. The candidate must be committed to helping the team provide the best patient care possible and will be a positive addition to an already exemplary team.
