What You Will Do

As an Associate with Ascension Seton, you will have the opportunity to providehigh quality patient care in conjunction with fellow team members during transport between facilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Performs assessment and stabilization of patients as well as any necessary diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.
  • Assures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards; making or recommending necessary adjustments by collaborating with team members and multidisciplinary members.
  • Participates in decision-making and partners with the multidisciplinary team to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Completes all appropriate medical documentation.

What You Will Need

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:
  • Required Credential(s):
    • Registered Nursecredentialed from theTexas Board of Nursingobtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • One or more of the following:
      • Advanced Life Supportobtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.Allowed in lieu of BLS Provider.
      • BLS Providercredentialed from theAmerican Heart Association (AHA)obtained within3 Months (90 days)of hire date or job transfer date.
      • Certificationspecializing inNeonatal Resuscitationobtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.Allowed in lieu of Pediatric Life Support.
      • Pediatric Advanced Life Supportobtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.Allowed in lieu of Neonatal Resuscitation.
  • Preferred Credential(s):
    • Certificationspecializing inER Vehicle Operation.
    • Certified Registered Nursespecializing inFlight.
    • Drivers License.
    • Emergency Medical Techcredentialed from theNational Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT).
    • Paramedic.

Education:
  • Diploma
    • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.
