RN-Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) - Full-Time, Night - Ascension St. John Hospital- Detroit, MI

7 p.m. - 730 a.m.; Weekend and Holiday rotation.

Unit Description:22 bed Intensive Care Unit caring for ARDS, sepsis, pneumonia and GI bleed DKA, Post TPA Stroke patients, Drug Overdose, ESRD with CVVHD and other non-surgical critically ill patients. The MICU is a strong multidisciplinary team of medical professionals providing exceptional intensive care to our most ill patients.

What You Will Do

As an Associate with Ascension Michigan, you will have the opportunity to providedirect nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
  • Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
  • Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
