Description
The CRNA has the ability to perform general anesthesia and analgesia administration. CRNAs will manage pre-operative preparation of medication, use of intravenous agents, inhalation agents, intramuscular agents, and management of minimal, moderate, and TIVA sedation/analgesia. CRNAs may insert intravenous catheters, and arterial-line catheters. CRNAs may place central line catheters under the supervision of their supervising anesthesiologists. Special PICC line placement may be performed by CRNAs as well. CRNAs will perform regional anesthesia inclusive of topical, infiltration, spinal, epidural/caudal, and intravenous. Other peripheral blocks as field blocks or extremity blocks will be utilized at the supervision and discretion of the supervising anesthesiologist.

  • Basic Computer Knowledge
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written.
  • MSN or DPN
  • Current CRNA License
  • BCLS Certification
