RN Full Time

7 ICU provides critical care to abdominal
transplant, thoracic and vascular surgery patients as well as Medical Intensive
Care (MICU) patients who are in the adult and geriatric stages of life. Our
surgical patients include thoracic surgery, vascular surgery, transplantation
surgery and other complex surgical procedures. Our MICU patients include those
with a variety of medical illnesses such as pneumonia, sepsis, GI bleed. 7 ICU
is an 11 bed full service critical care unit. One bed is equipped with negative
pressure air-flow. The unit also serves as a dedicated back up unit for the
Stroke Patient Population.

Position Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional
practitioner who manages and directs nursing care activities during the
patients hospital stay and coordinates care planning with other disciplines
utilizing a patient / customer driven approach.

- Minimum Education: RN licensure in the State of Missouri

Must have 1 year of ICU RN Experience

- Working Conditions: May be exposed to the risk of blood borne diseases. Exposure to unpleasant elements (accidents, injuries, and illness). Subject to varying and unpredictable situations. Handles emergency and crisis situations. Subject to irregular hours.

- Physical Requirements: Occasional prolonged standing/walking. Occasionally lifts, positions, pushes and/or transfers patients. Occasional reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching.
